Visa Requirements
Do you need a visa to enter Paraguay?
Paraguay’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería) publishes an exemption list; everyone else needs a visa. This page shows both sides of that: every nationality that requires a visa, and every nationality that does not.
“If your country does not appear on this list, you DO require a visa to enter Paraguay.”

Tourist exemption is not the same as a filing exemption
Even where you are exempt for tourism, Paraguay treats residence, extensions and remunerated activity as separate categories that may still require a consular visa. Confirm the procedure for your nationality and your filing type before booking travel — we can check this for you.
Not sure where you stand?
Tell us your nationality and what you are filing for, and we will confirm the correct procedure before you commit to travel dates.
